If you feel the urge to impress someone it means that you value their opinion of yourself more than you cake your own opinion of yourself. No woman will consider such a man worthy of her, even the fattest slob. It's just how women are wired.

The only way to solve this is to find a way to start liking and respecting yourself more. Then the opinion of others will be irrelevant, especially if those others are total strangers and know nothing about you.

As for insecurities, remember that insecurity is just a feeling. It's a negative feeling that something about you is embarrassing, inadequate or unworthy and that if you show it to the world you are sure to be rejected and ridiculed.

By hiding your insecurities and mistakes, you give them power over you and they control you. The only way to solve this problem is to stop hiding your past mistakes and transgressions. Whatever you have done wrong, whether to other people or by allowing other people to mistreat you, you need to make peace with. Bring it forward. Stop hiding it. As you do this more and more, the feelings of insecurity will subside because they no longer have power over you. Remember, those feelings thrive in secrecy and shame.

As you keep becoming at peace with your insecurities, you will realize that all you ever needed was to be yourself. There is no need to impress others or to put on performances or masks. Just be unapologetically yourself, because without your neurosis you can actually start liking yourself. When you get to this point, women will come easily to you because they are immediately impressed by a guy who doesn't need the approval of others to feel good about himself.

Maybe don’t think about trying to “impress” her. They’re a person & their shit stinks just as much as yours. Talk to her like a regular human being. Ask her actual questions that you want to know about. Don’t worry about getting her number right away, if the conversation flows organically & you think she’s a decent fit, throw out that you’d like to get to know her & give her your number. If she calls/texts, cool. If she doesn’t, charge it to the game and move on. Don’t take it personally. Your confidence will grow the more you simply talk to them. Hope this helps.

Gyms are fine. I wouldn't do it in the workplace though, because that would be entangling your professional and personal lives.

Do it from the bottom, Just go from store to store asking for prices and product's opinions. Make regular conversations as 2 usual individuals, and then move out saying that she made a great point and you'll take a look about her ideas. If you have anxiety with everyone, go talk to guys if girls make you more uncomfortable, this is just a way for you to improve your health. But make sure you won't be doing this for life, just do it gradually until you can approach girls in a safe way for yourself. Best of luck mate

Online dating - is only for men in the top 20% of looks... ie none of us... (most likely) - you also just dont build proper skills to fully attract women, be intimate, physical escalation, all these things that are required to find love and intimacy, which is ultimately the goal...

if you consider yourself social but a self-proclaimed lone wolf, then you are not that social... social skills is actually kinda hard, i like RSDtyler and Julien Blanc's content on social skills, they are very insightful...

But yea, the biggest help I had actually taking action, was simply having a wing, AND all you need is one guy friend that is on the same page... you two go out and you have someone to fall back upon...

be more social... talk to more people... like alot more... atend more social events... and get good at meeting people... forget about sex and women, the foundational skill is simply socialisation...

but yea insecurity is the biggest pussy repellent that exists... fix your insecurities? how? idk, therapy, questioning beliefs, trauma release, working on yourself, actually building real value... ie work, success etc... and the best of all, BRUTE ACTION... you have to go out and meet girls... and enjoy rejection, i actually set the goal, i want to get 10 rejections... cause rejections is a good thing lol...

take so much action, that you start seeing results and realise you CAN do this...

but yea also dont call the dating apps shallow, your blaming other people for being shallow, but its not, dont be a victim. I used to follow alot of incel ideology, and make myself the victim, but that is the easy way out because it stops you from introspecting youself...
