For the record, I'm not advocating violence. Ever. Don't do it, even if they deserve it.
But I witnessed secondhand two real life scenarios.
1) Guy gets home from work to find his wife screwing another man. Guy picks a fight with the other man, and loses. His wife packs up her things and leaves her husband with the other guy while he's bruised and bleeding.
2) Guy's out with his girlfriend, when a complete stranger walks by and gropes her. Guy responds by nailing the guy to the wall with his fist. Then the two of them went home and had the best sex ever.
My theory is that if two men fight, coming out on top will cause a shift in your direction, but only a shift, if the violence isn't directed towards the woman.
It won't make a loyal and happy wife leave her husband if he loses, but it'll make her doubt his worth as a man.
If he wins, she knows his worth.
A woman won't leave her man outright unless she was already planning to do so.
