Yup, perfectly normal.

Especially when you are first starting out. Practice will help you overcome this so do not give up.

I still get a little nervous if I over think an approach, but nowhere close to the near panic-attack that used to hit me when I first started the cold approach years ago.

The first time I ever asked out a girl, I broke out in cold sweats, I was stuttering (I don't have a speech impediment), I was shaking everywhere, and I was as afraid as the time I was robbed at gunpoint.

Talk to women without an agenda. You don't go from zero to hero in one step. If you are just talking about the weather, it's not nearly as stressful as wondering how to get laid.

Talk to everyone (male, female, cute, ugly, ...) until you can be as relaxed talking to women as men. Then you can work on taking things further.

It happens but you want to keep it in check. You could either see a docotor and talk to him about anxiety meds.. or you could meditate for 20 minutes every morning. Either way, that'll take care of it.
