I recently went on a third date with a girl, and I thought things were going well. We stayed up all night being intimate. Three days after the date, I texted her saying I’d love to see her again. She took almost the entire day to respond but eventually replied positively. She apologized for the late response and explained she had a very busy day at work.

During this short conversation, I asked her out again, and she said, “I have a work thing that night, but that sounds super fun. Can we go when I get back from my trip?” I responded with, “Yeah, for sure! Let me know when you’re free.” That was two days ago, and she hasn’t responded since. She gets back from her trip on Sunday.

If she were really interested, I would have expected her to reply right away with a timeframe. It feels like she’s interested, but maybe not highly interested. Am I overthinking this, or does this sound like lukewarm interest? Is it worth pursuing something with someone who isn’t showing strong enthusiasm?
