As for the party:

When you're at a party, get in the mindset that it is YOUR private birthday party when talking to a girl. How would you approach a girl you hadn't met at your private b-day party? Approach like that.

Sorry man, but this is like asking "how do I martial arts?" Really, the only answers we can give are:

General, vague-ish principles that can be found all over /r/seduction.
"Go out a lot, get some experience, and tell us your specific sticking points."

Ultimately, you need more intelligent practice (i.e. not just blindly doing shit, but practicing with some self-reflection). PUA isn't really something that's learned through advice. That's only part of the equation. The other part is being able to correctly implement that advice, which comes through time, practice, and effort.

Like, just because someone gave you advice on knife defense doesn't mean you'll be able to use that advice unless you actually train for a while.

Other than that, it's good that you took the first step. Most people never make it that far.
