And holy fuck it took so much mental energy. It was a polite rejection and I left it at that, but the biggest thing for me is how much mental and physical energy it took just for one approach. My knees were weak as I was jogging up to her from behind to do the classic London daygame rotate stop, and she must have seen the nerves written all over my face as I said "I just saw you and thought you looked quite nice". She smiled and said "sorry but I'm late for a casting" and I replied something along the lines of "okay cool I just wanted to say that, bye" while smiling. It was a pretty poor approach I admit but I could get over that if it didn't take so much effort.
