Learn from my BIG mistake.

First off, I want to say this is my first post to this sub🎉. I've been lurking, reading, and studying posts in this subreddit for a little while. My family is religious and dating would be taboo for me... However 𝙄 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨. By reading through "The Book of Pook" and several posts here I worked up enough courage to put some simple techniques into practice at college today. (The FU is coming soon).

Today's techniques: -3 Second Rule: see a girl you wanna speak to you have three seconds to approach and once you start walking, don't stop! -Trust the gut -Eye contact -Other

Of my 4 interactions, there was one that was amazing. She was very into the conversation and things seemed to be going great. The objective was to get numbers then get dates. However she got up at a moment's notice to go to class. Before leaving she smiled and said "Well, we'll likely never see each other again but it was great talking to you." I just nodded and watched her go. It was only on the train home that I realized the horrible mistake I made. She gave me the perfect opportunity to ask for her number but I blew it. (Wasn't a total loss tho. I got one of the other 3s number.) Pretty good for a beginner.
