Peacocking is wearing something unique, and/or flashy to get attention and possibly start a conversation about it. A quick google search for pictures of this will lead to some pretty ridiculous shit. However, several people recommend you follow the principle in a way that's congruent with your style and personality instead of cosplaying as a tall magician pua.

I think it can be accomplished with footwear, light outerwear, or any type of accessory. It doesn't look right if you make more than 2 pieces flashy. I like to wear a basic outfit, but pick either standout footwear (nice sneakers in a unique colorway... fancy dress shoes or boots), or a standout jacket (unique color, or with nostalgic patches inspired by tv shows or bands). I just like having something that brings my outfit out.
