She did, but is it always a IOI, or could it be more in the complaining to a friend kind of thing. I don't feel like I know her well enough for that to be the case seeing as I've only hung out with her once and texted a few times in the last 2 months. I'm not even Facebook friends with her.
It sounds like I'm go for launch, I'm just trying to make sure I don't fall back into old AFC terrirtory.

assume you are go and escalate smoothly. as long as you make it clear that you are a man and you want her as a woman, she'll let you know if she is interested. if she keeps getting back to you, she's interested.

Her: My thanksgiving started out great then got my heart broken on sunday. How was your weekend
Me: Got my ass kicked over the last week but things are goin good now. No heartbreake for me. What happened?
Her: Blah blah blah wasn't working out
Me: Upside: way more time to hang out with awesome people. More specifically me.
Her: True But I'm going to be all gloomy and depressing to be around
I didn't want to follow that up with drinks later, or drinks soon. I kind of let her float after that one cause I didn't want to get into sympathetic friend mode.
Then about 2 hours later she texted me: Where you at?!
Which I didnt get until forever since my friend home is a lead covered bomb shelter apparently.
I texted her back: At friends place but it was about 2 hours later, she was probably sleeping
Next thing I say to her will be asking her out this weekend.
