Dont do dinners before you have banged. Period.

Success is determined by you only, so set a goal for the date: What do you want to happen? Anything goes. MY goal was sex every time, and 9/10 it happened. Then I wasnt after something serious at the time, so ... What do you want?

From that make a plan. Let's say you want to get to know this girl. That means you have to make her interested. How do you do that? You go on a date and you have *fun* and create the start of a bond.

My suggestion is always: go to a place where it is possible to touch her and escalate it during the date. So movies and dinners suck here. Its always awkward to build up tension with touching in those scenarios. Try a coffee shop with cubicles, a walk in the park (benches!), museums (slow moving and stopping together a lot), art galleries etc.

Conversation and escalating, but comfortable "kino" (thats touching). Any place you can do that naturally. My venue for first dates was always a quiet bar on weekday, possibly fridays.

Somewhere near your place that has couches you can sit on next to each other. Doesn't matter the type of venue but the best would be cafe or bar that meets the above criteria. Sit next to her, talk, touch her, put your arm around, etc. then after it's been a while, say you're going back to your house and invite her to come with you.
