About a week and a half ago I watched "Becoming the Gorilla" by Brad Branson. It talked about frame control, entitlement, and most importantly, the power of rapport-breaking tonality. The concept of rapport-breaking tonality made a lot of sense and I immediately started using it. My voice felt more powerful and because of its implications I felt much more confident, entitled, and most importantly I felt like I was driven by my own inner state rather than pinging off of other people's. It was incredible. It was the most confident I've ever felt. But after a few days I started to lose it. My voice just went back to the weak voice that it used to be. I would focus on downward inflection but it just wouldn't sound the same. Even if I try to project and break rapport with my voice I can't do it in the same way as I was able to after watching the video. Has anyone experienced similar issues? I'm not sure what to do.
