Hi Seddit,

So i recently got out of a 2 year relationship, i had always known about the pickup community and was always interested by it but being in a relationship had never done anything.

So i made my first approach in years (im 22) the other day when leaving the gym. there was this girl working out near me who i noticed, a solid 8, we made some eye contact and i decided in my head i would have to approach her, i waited and timed my workout to end when she was leaving and as she was walking out the door i caught up with her and opened her.

I approached from behind and she was a bit surprised, i had an idea of the things i wanted to ask her and talk about but in the moment my mind went blank and literally said i didn't know what to say just that i thought she was cute and asked if she had a bf. She told me no and looked genuinely really happy when i asked for her number, i told her id txt her and wed go out sometime and she said that she would be happy to, we made some small talk for only a few minutes.

So i txt her that night, my txt was basic just "hi its me how are ya would you be keen to get a coffee tomorrow or sometime this week?", no reply. The afternoon of the next day i txt her again saying basically the same thing, again no reply. by now id gathered she either gave me a fake number or just wasnt keen anymore. i kind of know myself where i might of went wrong (didnt build enough attraction initially) but would be interested to hear some other input. Or any pointers on where i might of went wrong. might be obvious i know but thought id post anyway.
