About 2 weeks ago I started my seduction journey with three days of daygame in London. It was great and showed me a glimpse of what might be possible.

I came home and life and work started to get in the way. The next weekend, which I wanted to spend daygaming in town was taken up by family stuff which meant it was a write off. That meant I had a full week of no approaching since London.

As a result, I headed to the local mall after work a few days this week (3 in all) to try and fit in a few hours.

To my shame, the first two nights I simply couldn't bring myself to approach. AA had returned caused partly by the loss of momentum from the London trip and the fear of doing it in my hometown (I live here, people know me etc.). I also kind of had this idea that it would be easier in a big city like London than in the slightly smaller city I live in.

So for two days I didn't manage an approach and for two days I really beat myself up about it - I had gone backwards!

Tonight was day three. It started out like the other two, with me wandering aimlessly and finding a dozen reasons not to approach each girl. Then, on an escalator, I realised - "Everything I've done so far is for nothing if I don't keep trying. Nothing will change in my life if I don't try".

And with that, I opened a brunette with freckles "Hi, this is going to sound very random....". She stopped, smiled, answered my questions (indirect opener) and then didn't rush off. Brief conversation followed as I asked her how she knew her way around so well and how she had been in university in Brighton until recently. Then said my goodbye and went on our separate ways.

I realised afterwards that she was actually quite keen to continue the conversation (she left pauses, looked at me smiling and made no attempt to move off until I did) and kicked myself afterwards for ejecting early. Then again, it was my first approach in almost two weeks.

Shortly after, I opened a blonde in a similar fashion - brief conversation and then ejected. Would have opened a third (I was starting to pick up momentum again) until she answered her phone. Annoyingly, at that point, the mall was about to close and was too quiet to continue (though I was tired anyway).

Now, there was no number close here, no instant date. Christ, I only made two approaches in three days! However, I am happy:

1) I was worried that I had completely lost my nerve again but pulled it back this evening. I am ready to carry on approaching.

2) After the second approach, I felt the thrill again - I pick up momentum quickly once I get going.

3) I was reminded that girls like being approached (for the most part). Outside of London, I was expecting some weird looks and girls simply hurrying past the creepy guy who had tried to talk to them. That didn't happen. I think it actually helps being in Wales too (Welsh people, I've always found, are far friendlier and more helpful than the English!).

So, I have finally started to make my first approaches since London and it feels good (even if early results are slow). Ironically, I am back in London this weekend for a friend's Birthday. I might try and slip away to do some approaches in the day but in any event I could try some night game when we go out in the evening (should be interesting - it's fancy dress and I'm going as William Wallace from Braveheart, kilt and all!).

One sticking point - in London, openers were easy as nobody is actually from London (so you can make assumptions about where they are from, ask what they like about it etc.). That's more difficult with a smaller city where everyone is from there or from nearby. What would be good generic openers to use in such an environment?

Anyway, after a slight hiccup, I have gotten back on the horse. I am optimistic again. It will still take time, but I can do this and I will.....
