So I have a short FR about getting over some of my AA, no close but I got myself into a little clique in my class.

Last class I noticed 2 guys and 2 girls sitting at the front of the class, one of them is HB7 and just my type. So today I got to class a little later than expected and the 4 of them were already conversing etc and I take my seat 2 spots to the left of the HB7. We don't talk much at first as she is engaged with the others but after class starts we're all quiet. I manage to get a few quick remarks in and she seems to be receptive and joking with me. I also notice she keeps looking in my direction, not sure if its IOI but I was literally the only person in that direction... One of the guys she was talking to looks like your typical "brolic" dude, big arms, upside down triangle torso, the works. The teacher wants to do a quick experiment to show the cross function of the human brain so she asks him to cross his arms and do some weird thing with his fingers. He can't do it because his arms are so massive (this plays a role later on). So the teacher has someone else do it etc. As the class is almost over the teacher hands back our first exam results and this is when I make my breakout.

I had noticed she was stressing just before about finding out her grade so I ask her how she did and we start talking about it, great conversation piece. We have to always be aware of our surroundings in order to have some good game, at least it helps with banter. So the class ends and they're all walking out together and I'm right with them. I ask everyone else how they did, made sure to not isolate HB7. Then I asked the big guy from before "so, big guns McGee, how did you do?" and he laughed and I started talking to him. From the get go I thought he was gonna be an Alpha for sure but he was the exact opposite once I started talking to him. The HB7 payed me as much attention as she did him, if not more so I know that guy can easily be disarmed if necessary. I was not expecting me to Alpha a group at any point today.

So TIL that you HAVE to assume very little and act like you know what your doing, because deep down we do. The only thing we can assume is attraction of the target. Don't assume the guy she is talking to will C-block you, Don't assume you cant infiltrate a small group of strangers, and don't assume failure. Now I have some rapport with this girl and the group as a whole and Friday I will be able to fit right in and talk to them without worrying about anything. More FR to come hopefully.
