i followed the link from another discussion to this one ... if you are being honest about your intentions then i would say the obvious problem is that you are mistaken when you believe that you have found inner peace ... firstly, if you had found inner peace, you would not have the desire for others to become addicted to you, and secondly, if you had found inner peace, others would naturally find you attractive and want to be around you ... it is your self image which is in error

Lately I've been reading how to gain friends and influence people and the main theme (after reading almost halfway through) seems to be to forget about you and concern yourself with the needs of others. The rest will soon follow. Everybody only thinks about themselves anyway.

EDIT: Also, don't try too hard. Two reasons: (1) it will wear you out, (2) trying too hard generally shows through anything you're trying to do and it ironically can bite your ass socially when people see it.

I applaud your efforts and they resemble mine. How can we do this realistically? I've wore myself out talking too much, since i don't understand scarcity. At the same time, I've learned what makes me happy. It's hard to keep up such seductive power naturally without sacrificing your soul. Nobody wants that. I would recommend following what makes you happy and taking it slow. Real change comes from taking real risks, or maybe lots of small risks. don't think about it too much. Use mind-body awareness to express yourself.

Hmmm, I almost get the vibe that in your interactions you might be exhibiting that you are trying too hard to get people to be enthralled by you. So in a sense, what isn't working, might be the act of trying to get attention, does that sound right? The art of seduction is about looking like an alpha male without having to try at all. Even though you do work at this stuff and try to improve all the time, it needs come across as easy and natural. The term for this is called Sprezzatura. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprezzatura

Don't be cynical

Have a great attitude, smile a lot

Keep eye contact, never be the one to break it when talking

Don't be afraid to introduce yourself to people
