personally I find the word "confident" to be a loosely defined word. What I consider a confident person is someone who has 'core' confidence. This means that the person is confident from within himself, and not reliant on external factors or the 'situation'.

For example, a manager or boss at a workplace may have heaps of confidence AT the work place. He is in charge of everyone, people report to him and seek his advise, he probably has more experience than others etc. This would make him appear to be a confident person, and in that situation (the workplace) he IS a confident person. But lets take that person out of their element, take them to a bar with unfamiliar people, or lets say he loses his job and gets a job somewhere else in a non managerial role. What would happen to his confidence? would he be just the same as he was when he was king dick at his old workplace? No he wont.

Let me use another example of situational confidence. A guy is rich, has a massive mansion, a lambo and an expensive watch. He knows it, and he feels on top of the world. He is a man of confidence! But what if he loses all that, all his money, house, car..would he still be confident? what if he only was to hang around people that had tremendously MORE wealth than him, would he still be as confident?

Pretty much anyone in a position of power has situational confidence, it just happens naturally. But as a person I wouldn't call that person confident. Because confidence to me means to be able to feel comfortable in any situation, not just situations that suit me. Which bring me to what im going to talk about next, CORE confidence. CORE confidence is when you can feel the same in various situations, without external validation at all. Whether you are broke, rich, in new environments, whatever...it doesn't matter. You get your confidence from within yourself! That is the true meaning of confidence. Not having to satisfy your ego, just knowing that you are you is enough. How does this relate to pickup? Well first off, girls can sense core confidence just by interacting with you, its all in the sub-communication, they put you through tests to see how you will react (the subconsciously do this) for example, they may be like "omg that jacket is so gay" and see how you take it. Someone who relies on external factors will feel insecure about that comment, regardless of how he responds she will feel it. A guy with core confidence will not feel insecure about it, regardless of how he responds, she will feel that the comment had no emotional effect on him.

This also comes to taking action, those who feel the situation needs to be right before feeling confident will only approach girls who give them indicators to approach. where as a man of core confidence will go for the girls he finds most attractive, regardless of the 'situation'

You might be asking yourself, so how do I sub-communicate core confidence? well thats the wrong question, you cant consciously think about what you are sub-communicating, that doesn't work. You need to actually genuinely develop core confidence, and the way to do that is to take massive action and work outside of your comfort zone, the more you do this the more you will grow your core. I wish there was a magic pill/easy bit of information you could be told to get this, but unfortunately the only way to cultivate real core confidence is to grow it within yourself, by yourself. Another important factor in developing core confidence is to learn about the ego, and how to let it go.

This post is mainly about pointing out the difference between situational confidence and core confidence. in the future i will go into depth about core confidence and the steps to take to cultivate that true strong core self :)
