Some of the Causes of a Bad Night Out:

  • Negative Internal Dialogue
  • Logical State of Mind rather than an Emotional Free Flowing State of Mind

I will be making a whole other Video/ Article regarding "Negative Internal Dialogue", so today we'll focus on States of Mind.

Making The Shift:

Usually, when you decide you want to go out, you've either been studying, working, or just chilling all day. This means that you most probably are in a very analytical and logical state of mind, which serves you well in the things mentioned, but not Socially.

So...how do you make the shift from the Logical to The Free Flowing Emotional?

  • Loosen Up a Little:

Before going out, put on your favorite dance/ vibing music, and dance to it. Sing along, scream the highs, be goofy, and just try to get yourself going. This allows you to loosen up, and you will be able to relax and become more present to the moment.

Being present to the moment means you are living in the now, not the future or the past. A great book that will give you incredible insights regarding presence/enlightenment is "The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle". This books is a must read for anyone who wants to improve the quality of their lives, overcome their worries and anxieties, and just generally make the world a better place.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and read it.

You've got yourself dancing, you're singing, you're vibing, and you feel ready....NOW WHAT?

  • Start Socializing Immediately:

My anxiety used to get stronger as the night went on, and at the end of the night I would be low, tired, and frustrated....until I discovered this.

The secret to stopping this loop is by taking MASSIVE ACTION immediately. Ok...look, I know it's hard, but you're gonna feel anxious anyways. By doing this, you'll only be anxious for a couple minutes to half an hour, and then you'll start relaxing.

What does taking MASSIVE ACTION mean here? Well, as soon as you step foot out of your home begin saying hi to people. Try to look at people, smile, say hi, and even start conversations.

Take action before the anxiety takes over you.

There usually is a time before your anxiety is strong. If you manage to build up the courage and approach anyone during that extremely short time-frame (Only a couple seconds after leaving your house), you'll start doing better.

Why?

Because Social Momentum.

You will literally feel an exponential improvement during your night if you apply what I mentioned. The ONLY way this will work, though, is if you do it before the initial anxiety sets in.

So...the MOMENT you're on the street, START TALKING. That's it.

My first conversations usually start with me shivering, sweating, and stuttering. 10 minutes later I'm enjoying myself and I'm relaxed.

Yes, it's hard. Yes, it sucks. Yes, it works.

By implementing the steps above, you will notice yourself get more relaxed, confident, and high value at Social events. You will notice your mood improve as every minute goes by, and you'll finally feel like there's hope.
