In an upbeat environment like that just make assumptions or ask questions about the situation to break ice. Go up to a random girl and say "hey you're from California right?"

Regardless of what she says just say oh shit I don't know, you give me these California kind of vibes. You have a laid back energy. Or maybe say she reminds you of a female friend from california. Then say oh hi I'm whatever your name is, then shake her hand and ask hers.

It's not about California. People like hearing others perception of them. It could be anything.

Also, don't make out with multiple girls in club, it's bad for reputation. If you come back to the same club often I'd say don't make out at all in the club.

Exploring club game too atm. I found that having fun is the most important part. Talk and dance with as many people as possible, don't really worry about social filters. People are in the club to feel good vibes and if some dude comes super high energy to lift their spirits they'll love it. That makes dancing with girls more natural and less like you have an agenda. Apart from that, if you spot a gal you really like, move to a place where you can make eye contact, look at her discreetly till she looks back, smile, and go in. You can either use an opener or just sing and start dancing with her.

Don’t change anything it’s better to let girls approach you if enough of them do it. It’s also an attractive thing for other girls to see that a lot of girls choose you and it avoids you looking thirsty. Also don’t go around kissing multiple girls every night out that you don’t know unless you want a std.
