Hey guys,

I posted a little writing the other day about what I learned by my break up about 8 months ago. Another quality lesson it taught me is something that is extremely important in life. The concept that whatever stimulus is thrown your way, however some person chooses to treat you, you have a choice to react to that how you want.

When my girlfriend broke up with me I had a choice on how I would respond to it.

When that girl doesn't text you back, you have a choice to how you respond to it.

When a girl rejects you at the bar, you have a choice how you respond to it.

Embodying this is fucking essential in life. You can make the choice to be happy in life. You can also make the choice to be sad. You can react however the hell you want. But in my mind you should be trying to react to things in life with happiness and positivity.

When my girlfriend dumped me I reacted negatively. I was hurt, I was angry, I wanted her back, I was fucking crushed.

But I chose to be that way.

And the same applies to you. When you inevitably fall in love and breakup with a girl you HAVE A CHOICE how it will impact you.

THAT'S AMAZING. THAT'S SOMETHING I WISH MY PARENTS HAD TAUGHT ME. EVERYTHING IN LIFE I HAVE A CHOICE TO RESPOND HOW I WANT. AND SO DO YOU. So for the sake of both of us, LETS START CHOOSING TO BE HAPPY!

Right now think about something in your life that's getting you down. Maybe it is work, maybe it is girls, maybe it is your family is hurting you. Step back and realize that you are choosing to be hurt by it. And then realize one of the best things we have as humans: that you can choose to not be hurt by it.
