You don’t have to act in a way rather than in another.
The subtle advice is to focus on yourself, your life, your fun. This sub-communicates confidence (or that you don’t give a fuck in general beyond your life), and comes as attractive (or at least, it puts you above 80-90% of the usual males out there).
Also, there’s a line between chasing girls desperately and being hard to get. You need to be in the middle: you show interest, but you also show you have your own life and you don’t need to chase women to be happy.
This isn’t something you can fake too much, it must come from your inner self..

Yes it would work but its more complicated than that. I see a lot of advice telling people to display attractive behaviors but under false pretenses. For example, the behaviors below help build attraction:
Don’t chase (Faked) Even though you are very interested, you are pretending that you are not and anxiously wait to see what happens next. You wonder if the girl will respond or if she is playing hard to get.
Organic: The reality is that you are not chasing because you are a busy man, know your self-worth and have things to do besides chasing tail. You already made your interest known so there is no need to chase if she is not reciprocating. If she is playing hard to get, that is a turn off and you move on since you don’t have time for these games.
Don’t text too much (Faked) Even though you saw the text and want to respond, you pretend that you didn’t. You then look at the clock to see if enough time has passed to text back. You don’t want to respond too soon and appear desperate or too late and appear disinterested. You think and rethink what you will say. You find yourself writing the message a few times over before eventually hitting send.
Organic: You don’t don’t waste time in the Matrix and prefer to live in the real world. You set time aside to check your texts a few times per day. If the text is important, you respond. If it’s dumb, you ignore it. You don’t stop what you are doing to respond to a text. When you do respond, you are direct and move towards the next step i.e. meeting up.
Don’t be too available (Faked) Even though you are available and doing nothing, you are telling her that you are not or have plans. You are doing these things as manipulative move (game). Meanwhile you stand back and see if this is working. Sure you go out with friends and try to distract yourself but all while periodically wondering if you messed up and why she has not responded yet. You keep checking your phone.
Organic: Since you are spending time with friends, family, hobbies and fulfilling your life’s purpose, you are not always available. You are also sought after by other girls so you may have an active social life. You will not stop what you are doing, cancel plans or move your schedule around for a girl out of fear of losing her or her becoming disinterested.

Are you a mop and a mat for your friends and family, or do you stand your ground and do what you want, say what you want, and expect some respect and feedback from them. As if they werent just put on this earth to please you, noone (unless real narcissists) wants to be center of all attention and wants people to walk on egg shells around them.
Women dont want a puppy boi, they have enough friends in the friendzone. She wants an equal, or better. A man, a father, a partner, a person who isnt just there to please her. Girls who are just after that, are princess syndrome, and generally no good relationship or conversation can come from meeting these types.
So acting like she has value, being upfront and honest about her value to you is a turn on. Chasing her value as if she has something u cant get anywehre else only works if its true love, otherwise it will be a turnoff. Women also want to chase, they chase differently. As such, not giving any mystery, show of strength, direction, own life, isnt interesting. Men who chase, are all men. Men who grovel and are despirate chase with idk, dreams. Men who chase properly, do so with intent, they can change their minds, loose interest, dont summarise entire existance into subjective surface level interactions.
A strategy is, there isnt any. Just grow, learn, gain wisdom through failure. Treat women with respect and kindness, just as you would men and children. Be the best version of you, be open, be truthful and direct with your intentions. Make friends, and women will naturally want that, who doesnt. when you have yourself in order you wont chase, as you will know what you want, who you are etc. You will notice women looking at you, checking you out, and you will too. Thats when the game starts, you have something to offer and you are looking for something. Boys who chase, end up being mats as their objective was to please the objective of their affections, so their existence becomes a push over survant (friendzoned). men who dont chase look for how she can contribute to their existence ( so they become an equal part of the relationship).

You don’t even need to play hard to get. In my experience, when I stop trying, interested girls start popping up everywhere .

This is exactly what I meant. Being yourself and doing what you want seems to come off as confidence, combine that with approaching girls, you’ll find yourself in a winning combination.

It’s. Or about playing hard to get it’s more not throwing yourself at her. She has to feel like she earned you attention and affection.
Girls have to feel like they won you and your the prize not the other way around. If you try to push for a relationship they often feel like they are being trapped and run at that thought of losing their freedom.
Best place to be in is if she doing at least 70% of the initial contacting if you wanna keep her interested long term she has to always be chasing you feeling like your the prize.
I guess you could call that hard to get and I’ve been in relationships that were more 50/50 that went okay but if your chasing them the least but after a while they start getting bored and lose interest. It’s just the way they are, no point in getting frustrated about it just accept it and adapt your behaviors.
Example of one of the things they do when your chasing them is they start acting distant and cold to either test your strength or to try and get you to break up with them. They want it to be your fault it ends cuz they can’t rationalize why they want to end a relationship with a goodlooking guy who treats them great but as she pulls away most guys chase harder.
They shoulda just given her space and she woulda came back but when they started chasing her more it ends up chasing her away, women hate weak needy men it turns them off.
