I've been paying more and more attention to walking lately. Not just the act of walking, but how people walk.
Many people -especially men- have a tendency to shift their weight back and forth, left to right. This action tends to look like a waddle, which I find unattractive.

I started experimenting with gaits a couple months ago. I've determined the most attractive walk (for me) to be this: try to place one foot in front of the other, as if walking a tightrope. Place one hand in your pocket and swing the other freely. Keep your feet pointed straight in the direction that you're walking.
Don't let your free hand swing loosely. Touch your index finger to your thumb to stiffen your hand so it doesn't seem completely loose. When the hand swings forward, the fingers should not trail behind. Your shoulders should naturally dip slightly with each step. I like to think of this as "swagger". Don't try to swing your hips like the female supermodels. Try to make your gait as triangular as possible. You should be narrow at your feet and wide at your shoulders.

Has anyone else spent time thinking about this? What are your thoughts? I'd love to hear some constructive criticism.

EDIT: I don't know why it hadn't occurred to me google this until now. Found a video that makes a lot of the same points, but also adds a lot of info that I didn't mention (because I figured walking with your head up and chest out was just totally obvious) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAUWXbNj1_Q
