Simply put, when a woman uses LOL as a proxy for actual conversation most of the time, I lose interest and become very dismissive. I refuse to play the part of trying to carry the conversation by myself. I am not desperate and if a woman can't be bothered to usher forth anything more than vapid responses most of the time, I move on. I do well enough for myself that I always have some more options lined up.

So what's the problem? The problem is that a lot of these women are very attractive. And I can't help but think that if I was able to bear through the seeming vapidness and play this game at the LEAST I'd enrich my pool of options for sex; at the MOST I'd find a great woman to settle down with. But I'll never know because as soon as I see lol become a pattern in speech, I ghost.

Related to this is small talk. Most women ask almost the same exact questions. So when it's not lol it's almost as if they all attended the same Small Talk 101 class and shared notes. The ones who actually put forth effort are the ones I end up actually meeting.

In recognition of this I've been making phone calls and date arrangements sooner than later. Because maybe they are more interesting in person. It's split down the middle between women who like my assertiveness and those that feel it's too soon to exchange numbers.

How do the rest of you deal with the ocean of lol'ers and turn that into women you are fucking at your leisure?
