A bit of back story. When I was a sophomore in high school the website MySpace was popular. Unlike Facebook today, MySpace had this open to anyone feel to it and people would start meeting each other without knowing any of their friends via MySpace. There was no taboo. Enter me, 16 years old, just now getting attention from girls in school and then getting more by random girls on MySpace. I wasn't approaching and chasing girls they were chasing me and it felt good. I met a few of them in real life and had good times over the years of MySpace being relevant. Soon MySpace dies and high school ends so now girls are more mature and don't chase me and i have no approach game.

Years later, stigma from online dating goes away and while not as easy as it was before it was a crutch. Instead of getting good at cold approach I tried to get better at writing profiles and getting better pictures. I tried to craft the master "first message" and recently found close to just that. But how has my IRL game been. FUCKING ATROCIOUS. I still act shy when meeting new people and haven't done a cold approach in weeks I'm fact I can't even tell when the last time it was. I haven't gotten better at expressing my desires to go out with peers or some anything to prove I'm a person who will get us attention by women and it all comes back to using dating sites as my primary means of meeting girls.

So I'm cleansing myself and advise you all to do the same. Online dating gives you that false hope that because that chick that is a ten is on OKC that I can get her. But you get rejected in a way that doesn't allow you to grow, by not getting a reply, vice you saying something and the girl acknowledging it but but being receptive to it. Its easy to get shutdown over the internet but you will not learn from it.
