I've just discovered Seddit, and I'm giving it a lot of the big talk, so I wanted to put myself in the firing line.

Okay, so I'm moving house. I've found a place, and there's a bit of confusion with a couple of buddies about finding a new one, but that's all beside the point. One way or another I have a house arranged for the end of the month.

I signed up to a website that you HAVE to submit a profile for. There are occasional pictures, but otherwise just a lot of chat about houses and ultimately lifestyle (smoker, job title, "quiet" or "sociable", age etc etc). I sent out messages to all of the profiles that looked like a) a decent house or b) a decent landlady/tenant.. and (I don't know if it's because of the way I word my questions, my info or my picture, or a combination) I've started to get responses.. a fair amount.

Now, I put it to you humble Sedditors: in order to get some fun out of the people that are giving me chat is it better for me to give it a bit of the cheek and disregard the frame to ask for a drink/bite to eat, or just arrange a house viewing and try it on right then and there?

There are some HBs (can't do numbers, sorry.. that totally evades me) and there are a lot of picture-less profiles.

The way I see it I can mask the whole thing as a house viewing and just leave whenever I want if it's worthwhile (walking 10 minutes across the city is really quite effortless) AND I can stay signed up to the site even after I've moved into the new place.

TL;DR : On a website looking for housemates: allude to attraction beforehand or wing it through a house viewing and try to score?
