I'm on the metro 10 hours a week. An hour to work, an hour back. The line I live on is clean and not crowded. I work nights so I leave about 3pm, and come back 10 or 11. Sometimes women will stare at me, or run to sit next to me even though there are other choices of seats. Doesn't happen every day, but at least 2-3 times a week. I'm lifting now, and noticing more interest as I get bigger. 90% of people are bent over their phones and look bored as hell.

What are some good openers? I don't want to disturb the public peace and approach women on transport. I'll only chat to them if they hover near me and look at me.

I don't want to do something fake like ask them how long it'll take to get to the central station. But I don't want to game too aggresively because there are other people around. All I want to do is chat to them casually about studying. If they are warm, I'll give them my FB or something.

That's the best I can think of. I figure people here might have better ideas. I speak some of the local language. Not so good but enough to impress them. I get told I speak "Better than most foreigners". I'm always studying on the metro so I could ask them about what I'm studying. I don't know. Any ideas?

I have a gf or two right now so I don't necasarily need to get laid. It'd just be cool to be more social, and chat to the locals. 10 hours a weeek is a long time and I want to put it to good use.
