Almost all of my romantic efforts end up in the friend zone. I can hold a great conversation and be a lot of fun, but with the exception of a handful of one-night stands, women never seem to show interest. I've read a lot on seddit about being assertive, not putting the needs of others above my own, etc, and while I try to take these lessons to heart my results aren't changing any time soon. Before anyone suggests it, I'm already planning on reading "No More Mr. Nice Guy."

I'm confident enough to approach women and initiate, even incorporate some light kino, but my game is just about nonexistent. Previous nice guys: do you have any tips about how to frame yourself as a potential romantic partner to women you meet, instead of just another friend?

For reference: I'm 23, and though I've lost 90 lbs in the last two years I still have another 40 to go before I'm at an "ideal" weight. A lifetime of being the fat kid did not do wonders for my self-confidence.
