This is my third post in a series that I am writing that includes a set of certain topics that will help you in developing an attractive lifestyle for yourself. I personally believe living an attractive lifestyle streamlines the seduction process as well as gives you more chances to interact with high value women. This post will be about developing better social skills and being a more effective communicator in general.

Speaking

There are a variety of things you can do in regards to becoming a better speaker. The first is removing things such as um, but, like and the phrase “you know” from your vocabulary. “Um”, “but” and “like” are just filler words and make you sound dumber than you actually are. Try to take note of when you use these words in your day to day. As you notice yourself using them eventually your start catching yourself instead of saying them. This will now instead give you a chance to pause and take a deep breath, gather your thoughts for a second, then continue on with what you are saying. You will come across as more clear and concise when conversing now. In regards to things like “you know” and “I mean” these are just useless most times in regards to the message you're trying to get across. Do the same thing as the “um” “but” and “like” and just eliminate these from your speaking vocabulary altogether.

Another way to easily enhance your speaking and storytelling skills is to start gesturing to go along with your speaking. The majority of people take in information more effectively in a visual manner. When you combine solid speaking skills, with relevant gestures and body movements the people you are talking to will be more easily to understand what you are trying to say. Another reason this helps, specifically when talking woman is that when you are story telling and are able to gesture a funny or major part of that story, you will help them feel like they are actually there experiencing what you had experienced. Motion creates emotion. And making a woman feel emotions = very good thing.

Now my “actionable” advice when it comes to this is to just talk to everyone and practice. As you practice more you’ll eliminate bad habits and create good ones. You can also make some invaluable connections and at the very least make someone's day by just even saying hello to them.

Body Language

Actions speak louder than words as we all know. If your body language is not in line with message you are communicating you will come across as shady and untrustworthy. You hear shit like this all the time with guys who have a good “text” game. They can talk and talk but when the girl finally meets the dude in person the confidence he was portraying sitting behind his keyboard/phone does not translate to how he acts and portrays himself in real life. So my advice here would be to practice confident displays of body language.

  1. Walking - Shoulders back, head up, relatively slow, slow arm swing and with meaning. You’ve all seen what a confident walk looks like in real life, you want to emulate that as much as you possibly can. If you aren’t actually a confident person, still do this and “fake” it. Eventually you will feel confident with your walk and you won't be faking it anymore.

  2. Take up space - Confident people generally like to take up a lot of space. One thing I like to do when talking to a girl make my body big and relaxed. I do this for two reasons. The first is that I personally like the way my body feels when it is “bigger”, this helps relax me and makes me feel good in general. The second is that puts me in the dominant place of the conversation as I am obviously going to be taking up a lot more space than girl I am talking to, so having a strong but relaxed presence around her will make her feel safe and protected and allow me to help lead the interaction.

  3. If you have 20 minutes watch this ted talk by Amy Cuddy on body language. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks-_Mh1QhMc

Once again just like the speaking points just practice and take note of these things and the message your body is portraying to others wherever you go. If you are not a confident person think “how would a confident person be portraying his body in this situation”. Fake it until you actually become it.

Creating investment

There are two key ways to easily differentiate yourself from other guys and create more investment with women right off the bat. The first of those is speaking in statements instead of asking questions. Instead of asking someone where they’re from, I like to go up to them and say “You look like you’ve probably lived here your whole life”, if you are right they will tell you and feel more comfortable around you because they will feel like you already know them. This will help them open up to you more. Now as you continue your conversation actually LISTEN to things the girl is saying. You will then be able to make more assuming statements like the one above which will help the girl feel more and more comfortable around you. If you are wrong that is okay too, usually the girl will laugh and ask “what makes you say that” and I’ll just start listing stereotypes about the area I’m in. Then the girl will start qualifying herself to me trying to tell me why “she’s different”. Once again LISTEN, and use what she’s saying as jump off points in your conversation to get her to emotionally invest more in you.

The next way to easily differentiate yourself versus other guys right off the bat is by having good answers to run of the mill questions such as “where are you from?”. When getting to know someone this will inevitably be asked by the girl. “I’m from X place” is the response most guys would give. If the girl hasn’t been there she will have nowhere else to take the conversation. Instead give the girl some conversational ammo to relate with you somehow. For instance I’ll say something like “I grew up in the north east near the beach, but it’s too cold in the winter so I moved down here where I can be outside and enjoy the sun more often”. This gives the girl so many different directions to take the conversation(the beach, temperature, outdoor activities) as well as a chance to relate and connect with you to bring the conversation deeper and create more of an emotional connection with you.

Conclusion

There are a lot of little things you can do in regards to your social skills that can make a BIG difference at the end of the day. Take note of any bad social habits you have and start making the necessary steps to change them. There are a lot of easy things you can do to make you stand out. And once you start applying these things to your life you will start seeing the difference in your interactions very quickly. As always thanks for reading, if anyone has any questions or anything to add please put it in the comments.
