I'm looking at the front page right now and there's a few threads with something like 20-30 upvotes and 5-7 comments. There's some top threads where the OP provides all the value and those have something like 50-70 comments, but for the main part most of the front page is barren for a 32,000 subreddit. It's rather interesting.

The ratio of comments to upvotes is very low. There is upvoting but not much commenting.

The ratio of valuable comments to upvotes is even lower.

Perhaps this is why all the mods left, they were the only ones helping and commenting and now only a few people who offer valuable/helpful advice comment.
