wankers sound more pretentious and obnoxious. i dont think you sound like one. also there is nothing wrong with sounding polite. if you mean casual as more confident, many action stars in action genre films fit that vibe.

I think this is more about charisma than tone- which makes sense as to why you’d want to study someone. One of my favorite characters that influenced me growing up was “Benny” from City of God. It’s in Portuguese and yet I modeled some things despite the language barrier.

I always suggest guys to:

Talk slowly. When you talk slowly, your pitch will be lower too. Release your bass tone. Don’t talk fast it will give out a high pitch out of your voice.
Be expressive. Maybe that’s what you meant by being casual? Tonality and intonation are important and can be learned. When your voice/tone is flat, it gives audience the impression that you’re “weak”, not enthusiastic, or boring.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being polite just don't come off as weak.

James Bond. I think Daniel did it best in my opinion. The key to everything is being relaxed. Slow down your speech to the point you almost slur your words, don't say too much and pause a lot. Don't apologise unless necessary.

Don't bother with your voice, it is what it is. You can change it with vocal cord surgery, but is it really worth it? Look at this VIDEO. (I filmed it with a spycam in Ukraine when the war started.). Do I have a strong, deep, masculine voice? Not even close! And honestly, it doesn't even matter. Anyone telling you otherwise is either messing with you or trying to sell you coaching or self-improvement programs.

There are plenty of voice tonality exercises online (use google) and make it a regular habit.
