Hey guys, I read this subreddit pretty casually... so this is all going to be pretty light on the lingo, if you can bear with me.

20 year old college student

I was at a party at my friend's house and was introduced to two girls by a different friend. They both seemed pretty shy and I wasn't too interested at first. Second look, the blonde is actually pretty cute. The group I was in was having a heated debate and I looked over and saw the blonde was just standing there by herself. My gut told me this was absolutely perfect.

I went over and asked her what she thought on the topic we were speaking of. She said she knew of it, but wasn't completely sold on either side. With a little bit of sarcasm, mixed in with some clever remarks, I find that she has no desire to talk with the group and instead we end up talking for a long time. I then tell her my legs are kind of tired and we should sit down. Shes more than happy to. We sit down, I move in close and make a joke about something going on in the room. She laughs and gets closer to me. We talk even longer now and I ALMOST don't have the balls at this point but I just lean in and ask. "Hey, I hope this isn't out of line, but I'd love to get your number to hang out some time where we don't have to watch people fall over tables" she said she would really like that, I get the number, and we make plans to hang out later the next week.

The next night, I wind up at the same friend's house, and she shows up. I say hi to her and smile and then sit down and play cards. After about five minutes she comes and sits next to me. At this point I am feeling pretty good about it. We talk, flirt, laugh and have a good time for awhile. The card game ends and we try talking to each other but the music is making it tough. I ask if she wants to go upstairs and talk and shes more than happy to.. eventually we end up in a room, and some heavy making out goes on, until we are interrupted by a few drunken party goers.. a nice goodbye smoldering kiss with her up against the wall and we part ways... with her telling me she wanted more.

Flash forward to later the next week. We call and make plans on hanging out. She turns down a movie at my place, says she needs to study and can't be out all night (good, she thinks if she went to my place she'd be out all night??), and I suggest coffee.

So, it is officially a date.. coffee on campus. She comes up to me at the place we were supposed to meet and since she works there, I tell her to lead the way, since she would know the best places. Mistake? Maybe. She orders her coffee and then gets out of the way so I can order mine and pay for hers.. slick move but at this point I am ok with paying a couple of bucks. (I know this is a reddit sin, buying the drink) This might also tell me she considers this a "real" date, or is incredibly crafty and figures a free shot of caffeine is worth the time talking to me.

We sit and talk.. and I kind of messed up. We sat on the opposite side of the table! I sat down first and she took the seat across from me.. uh oh.. crappppp, we have a good conversation. She basically tells me what she is doing in college, we connect through similar jobs we had in high school, I bust out some physics even when we were talking about baseball vs. softball. She seemed kind of nervous at first but she eventually opened up. I ask if she wants me to walk her home, she says yes. Tons of people around, my analysis of her was she was not huge into PDA, so when we part, no good bye kiss. Just casual plans about hanging out again.

Fast forward to a week later. I ask her whats up. She says she is way too busy studying for the next few weeks to do anything.

So what do you guys think? Did someone "warn" her about me? Did I really mess up the actual date? I am kind of confused. She could just be really busy, but it seems if she was actually interested she would make time, right?
