Hey guys,

This might be a little bit controversial. However, I see a lot of you making these MASSIVE mistakes you are making, which is turning you into a weirdo. Hopefully, these tips serve as a course-correcting and for you guys to become high-value guys. Unfortunately, a lot of the free advice out there is given without an adequate context. Therefore, it is easily misunderstood. 

1-Making forceful eye contact with strangers

Some of you guys have heard Tyler or other coaches talk about the importance of eye contact. The coaches say that it is essential that you maintain your eye content to show you are a strong or dominant man. However, it would help if you mostly locked eyes with your girlfriend or to a girl on specific occasions. For instance, if you are dancing with a girl and you need to show her you are a man. On the other hand, you shouldn't be looking at random guys on the street at night to see who is more dominant. I've heard a bunch of horror stories when one of you got into a staredown against the bouncer, and you got kicked out of the venue! The better approach is not to bother and look away. 

2-Trying to show dominance(Sitting first at the table and getting service early)

This second tip is similar to the first tip. It would help if you did not try to show dominance towards other people. Many of you have read a bunch of self-help advice where they tell you that you need to become a leader or the most dominant person in the room. Unfortunately, you assume that this means you should always get the first seat or get service first at the restaurant. I'll explain the former. For instance, I remember invited a wingman to hang out with a group of friends. My wingman would run to the table and try to get the best seat. We went to two different venues, and people started to notice. After a while, most people thought he was a weirdo. He was sub communicating the opposite of what he thought. In his mind, he was an alpha male in the eyes of everyone he was a weirdo who wouldn't be invited back.

3- AMMOGING random guys

Out of all the things you can do, this one is one of the dumbness. You should NEVER AMMOG other guys. Not only is this morally dubious, but you can get punched in the face. Unfortunately, I see some of you guys thinking that ammoging is a skill that should be practiced to become a good pick up artist. This thought is the same as thinking that you should pick up street fights with strangers to show you are a competent fighter. If you are doing this, you are actively sabotaging your night and looking for trouble. I was hanging out with a wingman in downtown at Delancy street he started AMMOGING a group of guys. Long story short, the cops came in, and eventually, a bunch of people got in trouble. Since there was a large group, my wingman managed not to get arrested. However, a bunch of people did get in trouble. If you ammog guys, the best thing that can happen is that you get punched in the face. The worst is you get arrested. 

4-Being self-deprecating

Being self-deprecating isn't horrible, but it can make you look awful. Especially if you are weak in the area, you are trying to poke fun. I know a bunch of you watched Jeffy or other coaches talk about self-deprecation. However, it matters who is doing the self-deprecation. For instance, if a homeless guy says, "You guys don't know what it is like living on the streets," it's not funny but sad. The same happens if you guys go out there and start saying, "I'm bad with girls," or you tell girls, "I'm a virgin." I've seen girls look at some pick-up guys so disgusted that they looked away they didn't even bother to respond since they found it too weird. I know the defenders of this "art" will say, but man, this isn't how it should be done. However, are people going to do it correctly? I doubt, most guys are going on and doing random shit that makes them look weird, and they need to start adopting better behaviors. 

5-"Burning a set to the ground."

If AMMOGING random guys is one, the dumbness things you can do them burning a set to the ground is one of the most DANGEROUS things you can do. I'll give you a concrete example. A few years ago, I went to do Daygame with a PUA from the chats. People in that chats thought he was intermediate. While we were gaming, we run into a girl who wanted to sell us something. When she realized we wanted to get her number as opposed to buying her product, the set ended. However, the PUA wouldn't give up and told me, "Man we got to mess with her head" so he stayed there and started to stare at the girl, then tried to get into a "frame battle" where he would tell, "You're reality is not stronger than ours" or something weird like that. He would even clap in the air, trying to get the girl upset. The girl couldn't leave that street since she was selling some glasses. I could tell she was creeped out. I had to pull the PUA guy to the side and told, 'Man, we need to go. You are going to get in trouble." He said, "Nah, man its all good. I do this on all my sets." Since I got mad and him, he finally agreed to leave. I never hang out with him again. 

Conclusion

In recent years, the community has gotten a bad rep, and to a certain point, those critics are right. The community has had too many weirdos doing weird shit, making all of us look bad. However, we can improve as a community and starting doing the correct behaviors.
