Problem with talking too much

Don't worry about being too talkative or mimicking what your friends are doing. Be yourself. The more you try and alter the way you act, the less genuine you're being and the more awkward and uncomfortable you come off.
Someone else mentioned being too friendly; too many pulls, not enough pushes. This could be it as well.
In the end, be proud you're the outgoing one. Different girls go after different things and there are lots of girls who want to be wrapped up in the world of the outgoing, exciting guy.

I don't know. I found as my confidence has gone up I talk less and less though, cause I'm not so interested in getting positive reactions out of people. No real reason to talk without a reason to say it. Even if that's not the case with you, that may be why talking less makes people seem uninterested.

I used to talk so much I even got ADHD medicine for it because I thought I was off. But I was just so insecure I was constantly looking for affirmations that people liked me, even if it was only saying hello. I needed to hear them talk to me.

To be honest for me, though, it just kind of went away whenever I started gaining some self-esteem and building myself up. I don't know if you can do anything about talking too much without changing your mindset. I never could just remind myself to not talk because if you want the attention it is probably a more powerful motivator than your mind telling you not to, and you'll slip up and keep talking.

Spice it up a little, become unreliabe, be late or even miss dates Ooops I forgot, I'll make it up to you....; talk more about experimenting in sex, than best restaurants for dinner dates; take her to see an x-rated movie, and tell her to take off her panties so that you can finger her; don't take her to see the lastest romantic movie.
