Hi r/seduction, I've been reading this sub for a while now and it's definitely helped me a lot, but mostly in self-development kind of ways. I feel like that's a prerequisite for being good with girls in general.

Anyways, I'm 19, and I feel like I've lived the entirety life as a beta, for lack of a better word. From a young age, I fell into that pattern, and I've been there ever since. I've definitely been the classical nice guy with girls, and in general I'm not overly social or outgoing. A lot of people, including my immediate family, think I need to lighten up or that I take myself too seriously, which is definitely true. I think that's mostly from a deep lack of confidence that I've carried with me for as long as I can remember.

I've made an effort to be more confident, and I've definitely made a lot of progress. I've read Models, and I took a lot away form it. I'm better at making eye contact, giving firm handshakes, carrying conversations, and hell I can even socialize and network with successful adults.

But at times I feel like I'm still struggling, that I can't connect with people my age, that I blush and turn red when talking to girls or just people, and that I'm really just faking it more than anything else. The idea of just becoming more confident in daily life is so incredibly alluring, but it's not like confidence is just a switch you can turn on and off. Ultimately, I don't know where to start–confidence just seems like such a broad and vague thing.

I know this seems like a weird post, but I feel like I need to start somewhere, and I think this is the most important thing for me right now. I've made a lot of progress, but the only thing that's done is made me hungry for more.

Thanks for all of your help, seddit.
