Hey Seddit!

Rara2 here.

How is everyone? I am someone who is below average height - 5'7 (Yes, I know /r/short gets pissed when someone who is 5'7 calls themselves short so I used another term haha), and just wanted to see if anyone here can offer personal insight with a question I have.

At the height I am at, there are many, many occasions where girls in heels end up becoming 2-3+ inches taller than me. When engaging a girl at this height, what is the best posture to assume? What is the best way to make your voice heard?

I ask this because though I do not have any problem sarging or pulling a girl taller than me (in fact, I lost my virginity to a female 3 inches taller than me!) I always feel awkward straining my body, and keeping a very firm posture just to have my mouth near her ear. Standing very, very upright seems like overcompensation to me, and I do not like assuming the role of following. I especially need to do this in bar settings where the music is LOUD (I understand in day-game you can keep distance and project your voice).

I have some solutions, however would like to hear your own.

Mine are as follow:

  1. I find a seat and pull her there so we may talk eye to eye
  2. I slouch slightly/stand normally and let her come to me (however I feel awkward having her bend over and over again)
  3. Or I lean against something so not only am I comfortable, it is a normal position which causes her to lean as well and come to your height.

But! If sitting or leaning is not an option, what can I do (especially in setting with pretty loud music, cramped surroundings, and such)? What's the least awkward / most comfortable way to stand / position yourself while engaging a set?

THANKS!!!
