I've had a great first date with a girl. She was scared of meeting a guy who approached her in the streets but I managed to make her feel comfortable. I could tell she wasn't ready for me to kiss her so I let it slide.

I told her we should do this again and she said yes. When the day came she messaged me 5 hours before that one of her friends decided to do her birthday and she has to attend now. She said she is sorry and that we can still meet up this week. I told her very chill and laid back to hit me up whenever she feels like it but it's been one week and she hasn't messaged.

Does anyone reinitiates this type of flaking or does it seem needy and won't work?
