I am seeking an advice regarding a small issue that has arose in my workplace. There's this girl who joined my workplace recently. She is fairly attractive and I have been enjoy talking to her whenever I get the time alone with her in the office.

Except, something inside me said that this is not the type of the girl I would want to have a future with. Even otherwise, workplace is not the most appropriate place to have flings which can always backfire so I resisted the urge to escalate.

So what happened yesterday (Saturday)was that everyone in the office was wrapping up their work pretty quickly and left earlier than the usual time. I also left earlier except I had to come back to office about 45 minsater because I had left my laptop charger on my desk.I had a phone call with the janitorial staff of the office who told me that everyone had left but I may access the office due to the biometric lock.

I went inside and sensed a presence of someone in the pantry which was dim lighted. I ignored that and collected by charger and was about to leave when I stumbled upon this girl with a coworker alone in the office at an odd hour. I don't why but it just turned my stomach.

The guy left the scene and the girl made an awkward hey towards me. I don't know but I simply looked straight at her, ignored her and went ahead to fetch some water before leaving the place.

I am asking for the guidance of the members of this community on how should I proceed to navigate this situation. If I can be candid with all of you then I must say that it feels like a personal rejection to me. The only issue is that I have to see this girl's face everyday in my workplace.

Could you please suggest how to navigate this situation further in the workplace?
