I used Dr. Glover as a counselor after my divorce. I attended his men’s group. In person, it was very helpful. Doing this in person was so valuable.

With that, when I hear him on a podcast, I remember his advice on being true to myself, and not accepting game playing from people. The sound of his voice on a podcast calms me, and his words help me to remember how to take care of myself.

The biggest value for me was the real time response. When he called bs on one of my answers in person, it helped me discover how I make/made excuses. I would pay for a counselor to do that again.

Also, Glover does not teach or endorse seduction. He teaches how to be a happy man. Doing that makes me/you attractive to women. It has nothing to do with pick up lines or making someone like me. It is about dealing with anger, guilt and shame. It is about showing up honestly with people. It is about liking myself because I am doing good in the world. That makes me happy and confident. When I do that, women notice and become attracted.

It is not about pick up lines. It is about building my own value in the world and then discovering who appreciates what I have to offer. It is about bringing those people into my life. It is about knowing when to end a relationship with someone.

with all the free resources there are out there and opportunities to meet people in real life, there’s no excuse to spend money on books or lessons on this sort of thing. you only learn by doing and action. watching others and reciting notes isn’t terrible but it’s a much slower and ineffective use of your time and health

To answer your first question, I concur with the folks below. Don't go out and buy a course. I think the book has what you need. Now, if you have $250 to burn, by all means.

Now for your other question, Mark Manson or Robert Glover. I learned about Dr. Robert Glover while reading one of Mark Manson's books (sorry I can't remember which one, but it may have been "Models".) I liked them both and feel they are complimentary of each other. Additionally, they say much of the same things. I like the realness of each of them in not advocating silly pickup lines or techniques. Be a man, take a chance; introduce yourself to a woman you find attractive, and say, "Hello." Be honest that you find her attractive and ask her out. If she says "No" or tells you something other than yes, move on and find one that does. It is a plentiful world out there. Keep becoming a better version of yourself, find the enjoyment of life right where you are, and the right women will come along!
