The main thing to focus on is creating a connection while face to face. If the girl is not fully into it when you meet she's going to flake. Another good practice is to not make the date too far into the future, it's extremely difficult to keep that connection you've already created if the next time you see her isn't soon after you get the date confirmed. If you can't help but put the date more than 3 days after meeting I would do some light flirting over text. Your way is perfect, the interaction should be short and noncommittal like getting coffee or lunch. You also set definitive time frame so thats good. If she says that thursday won't work then yes ask what day is better but your way is more effective because it is decisive. Tinder is tricky but after you establish a decent conversation where you feel that there is enough rapport you should say something like "hey this is hard to use, you should just shoot me a text" this works perfectly because the tinder messaging is generally shit in my experience so im sure she'll feel the same. Also if you say that then she has the opportunity to say yes or no and if you don't throw your number in her face right away or ask for her number it allows for HER to say yes or no. Hopefully if you did your job she'll give it to you but I've had a girl say she didn't just give her number out like that and I said thats fine and kept talking to her and eventually I got the number.
