To cut it short and simple, I'm at a small after-party from a bar at my friends pad. I happened to have my leather work out from earlier and a HB 4 and 5 decided to try their hand on it.

To which I said: That's fine, but the fine print says it's going to cost you $5 each.

The typical, "oh whaaat? Why" banter goes on. Soon, a HB 9 enters the house, and she clearly knows that she is the hottest person of the party (makes them even that much more "hot"). She sits at the table and starts making one. The HB 4 and 5 told her that I charge $5. I look at her and say:

"Yeah, but for you it's going to cost 8"

In what I intended to be a "punishment", I obviously phrased it wrong and it became a pedestal comment, in which she replies:

"Why 8? It's because I'm special isn't it"

Realizing what I've just done, I slightly loss frame at that moment for it was not the response I was expecting. I should have kept it at $5 and just noted the expensive upkeep as normal, to be congruent. In context, I didn't know the person that well and her shit-tests were much different from HB 4, 5. So lesson learned. Giving her equal treatment would have not allowed me to admit the fact that I see her as different.
