Vagina owner here. I'm just going to copy paste a reply I made to a comment on another thread in regards to "how women have it easy, how guys are expected to make everything seem effortless and that it's basically easier to reject than get rejected"

I was going to be vague and somehow ended up saying a lot more than I intended but it was kinda lost towards the end. Besides... It's just not the same to put stuff out there without people on the other end to challenge your viewpoint. So here it goes hoping its not bad reddiquette (I'd quote myself or link to the original comments for the sake of nice formatting but I'm on my phone and already copy pasting it was a challenge...ill do it later)

<(start of) copy paste>

You're failing to see the bigger picture.

We don't "sit there and judge whether he's good enough for us" but rather we "sit there and try to figure out if we're going to get hurt" ✞
That means, we gather as much data as possible (until we feel satisfied to get an accurate prediction) on whether the probability of developing feelings of worthlessness due to possible poor empathy skills on his part is higher than the probability of us coming out of the situation (to the very least) understood and (in the best case scenario) empowered.

Easy, right?

I dunno about you (or men in general for that matter) but the feeling of being rejected or ignored after actually having opened up to someone and had sex is far worse than before even having reached that stage.

Yes, ok, of course there are some women that are the exception to all this and couldn't care less about being hurt and are actually capable of separating physical attraction and emotional attraction much like most men do, so they manage to enjoy promiscuity at it's fullest without being scared of the obvious cons that come with it. But, they're still an exception.

So you see? Dig deeper.

From the surface it might seem as though we have it easy but I don't think guys or even girls comprehend the amount of work that goes into judging the character of someone that, by just the act of approaching, is already ioi-ing and basically telling us "I find you attractive and I'd probably fuck you if I get to like you... if you want to"

✞ Here I dont mean to say that all men are potential pain inflictors but rather that there are still a bunch of assholes out there we need to protect ourselves from.

Note: this obviously doesn't apply to people searching for a ltr or girls that knowingly and consciously aren't looking for casual sex e.g. already in a ltr. I specify "knowingly and consciously" cos some girls want casual sex but are (sometimes even inadvertently) in denial about it.

Edit: I'm sure you might have noticed how all of this sounds rather selfish and self involved from a woman's point of view. But this is exactly why I love this subreddit. I mean...how was I supposed to know that you guys have just as much a hard time as we do if you make it seem so effortless?

</copy paste>

To add to my note at the end: I think it's more than fine to "game" girls that are in denial. You'd be the cause of an epiphany if you play it right.

Again, I'm sorry I can't provide you guys with solutions. I never ever tried chatting up a straight girl... Or a lesbian girl or ANY girl really. But I do know that by being a woman I MUST have SOME idea about how we (in general) feel and how we think. And I hope that maybe by giving you some insight I might get to help you help us. Thanks.
