I really want to start cold approaching women. The thing is that I feel it is much more socially acceptable to approach strangers in the states and Canada than it is in Norway where I currently live. In Canada strangers help each other and are friendly to everyone, whereas in Norway people are friendly and kind to their own but much more reserved with strangers. Sometimes I’ll find an environment which I have something in common with a group and conversation with strangers is possible, but it is much less commonplace. For example even before Corona, if there were seats available next to someone Norwegians would rather stand than sit next to a stranger most of the time. I guess I just feel like it might not be acceptable or as acceptable here.
