A few related questions for the wise seddit community. Not sure if this should go in r/dating_advice or not. But I'll give it a go here.

(1) Is dinner as a first date passe these days? Sometimes I think it seems to serious.

(2) To me, a coffee date is more casual and builds comfort more easily. Do you guys ask girls on evening coffee dates in order to set things up for a possibly ideal night? Coffee dates seem more geared towards afternoons.

(3) When should a first date remain a standalone event (with a kiss at the end), and when should you try to progress further? Mystery's take emphasizes building lots of comfort. Can this typically be accomplished in a single first date?
