You should've talked more to the attractive girl. You can't just go for the number straight away, she doesn't know you. Very often girls just lie they have a boyfriend just to reject you in a polite way. Create some tension, joke around, tease her a bit. When you see IOIs and investment on her part then ask for her number. Not only there's a higher chance you'll get it, but also the chances of flaking will be much lower.

You shouldn’t ask for the number so fast because women are unlikely to be interested that fast in you. Just because you are immediately interested in meeting a girl doesn’t mean girls make that decision as fast. They need to get to know you first a little bit before deciding if they want to actually get to know you more in the future.

If you force them to make a quick decision on nothing but your appearance, they will most likely reject you or come up with excuses to not see you again even if they give you their number.

So when you approach the woman who gave you directions to the bathroom, you should not have had such a brief interaction. You should not have said “_I think you are cute, can I get your number_”.

What you should have said is that you like her vibe, and that you are not curious to to get to know her real quick, and ask for her name, then proceed to have a 5 min conversation to get to know her and see what you have in common right there in the spot face to face.

Then if the conversation is good, and you both are genuinely vibing and flowing smoothly without awkward silences and without the conversation feeling like an interrogation, then you could say that you want to get to know her more and whether she is free to take a coffee.

This is a more organic natural way to do things, than immediately asking a stranger for her number. Seducing girls requires building a connection first for 5-10 mins, before you decide if she is worth asking out. You can’t just go around asking complete strangers “hey you are cute, can you give me your number”.

If you need some motivation or want to read about someone who was in your shoes about a year ago, I wrote some field reports detailing my first 50 approaches which I called "The Newbie Chronicles" where I learned to get over my approach anxiety and overall beautiful women by just approaching them in malls, grocery stores, using direct game.

I'm over 100+ approaches now and I can't wait to write and upload all of them one day but for now the rest are still stored in my own notebook but I got some messages from some people on here telling me that I helped inspire them to start their own journey as well.
