Ok, here's the scenerio: I'm 17, kinda introverted and shy - but a real talker when I'm familiar to people. I'm not the "handsome" kind of guy (I'm tall, a bit thin and I have a long hair that go down my back), and my self-esteem is not good.

There's a girl in high school that caught my eye. She's not the most "sexy" girl, but she's indeed cute, and there's something about her personnality that I really like (yes, seriously). I don't think there are many guys interested in her. She's extroverted - the kind of person that is at full power at 6AM. And she seems to be very friendly.

I'm only an acquantaince to her, and my best friend (female) is also her best friend. And I really wanted to be more than an acquantaince to her. But we don't know many things about each other.

How can I proceed to at least start a conversation that might give me the chance to earn her thrust, and maybe a way to her heart? I'm not sure if telling our friend is the best idea. She could tell her everything, thus destroying everything (or not).

I'm really not good in starting a conversation and/or finding subjects to talk. But I can handle somewhat finely when the conversation flows.
