Here's the thing. I studied abroad for 3 months. Met some great people that I wanted to spend a lot of time with and get close to, including romantically with this one girl. Problem being, in both your situation and in mine, we're only there for a very short period of time. Like it or not these relationships are transient. If you and she are not committed to doing some crazy Skype long distance stuff, it just doesn't work. Enjoy the small amount of time that you have to spend with each other and realize that because of the factors of lots of distance and not a lot of time, this relationship, like most that you will have in China, is temporary.

Go for it. Drop the 'casually dating' concept. Pursue partners who don't share you language: that leaves only the language of the eyes, fingers and smile. It's a very rewarding and eye-opening experience. "Partners" = Swiss + any and all locals and/or expatriates you find in the area.

You think she doesn't realize she has to go in 2 weeks? She's also likely from a relatively small community, town, city in Switzerland, and there it's a bit conservative, the girls don't just go out and get wasted and sleep w/ dudes .... i.e. there isn't a 'hookup' culture, or 'one night stand' culture there. So, she knows, that she has two weeks, to do basically whatever she wants w/ a guy with nobody in her hometown knowing....
