I've been noticing a pattern of seemingly bad Tindering on my part that sees conversations fizzle out after 2-3 messages.

I think it comes down to me overthinking things, trying to find the right line to hit hard. It comes from having a pretty analytical background.

What this means is that messages come off as trying too hard, awkward, forced, and they die off despite having potential.

The last one possibly wasn't that much of a fail on my part, so maybe there's a chance of restarting.

Just to give it context, she and I have met before; in fact she's one of my sisters best friends, but I never got around to number closing. I wonder if my last comment put her off.

What frustrates me is that there'd been some investment on the girl's part with some of them, especially the second last, who opened me.

This isn't to say that I haven't had any fruitful ones, I'd say maybe over 50% of my matches in total have ever gotten anywhere -- all the way to sex, in some cases, so I'm not a complete basket case.
