I'm taking a dancing class as well, and I love it. I kinda just stopped worried about getting with some of the girls from class, and started to focus my attention on actually learning, and most importantly....having a good time.

But these classes are gonna have a HUGE payoff in the end. I'm actually going to a wedding this Saturday so I'll be able to test out some of my new moves.

Use the time before and after class to talk and introduce yourself. Use that time to get names and numbers. While you dance, consider that time reserved for building attraction and just having fun.

I'm in the same boat as you, but it really just helps stuff I think. You make a good quick impression, learn their name, show that you can lead and then have fun with the next partner. If they are interested they will notice you having fun with the next person (DHV).

I do salsa, and we have an open dance at the end, where we dance with anyone. Go back to those partners you met before the switches.

If you are 21 (in America) look for bars that have dancing nights...this is actually my favorite place to dance. You can ask anyone to dance and most people are drinking some and naturally more social because of it. You can also chill out at the physical bar if you want a break from dancing.
