Look nobody has said this, but blowing up a girls phone like that is pretty creepy, especially when you're triple texting.

The classic hand on the shoulder move, it never fails. I had worked as a waiter once and it was a given that by touching a customer's shoulder and leaning in closer, they would feel closer to you thus resulting in a bigger tip. Being a male this didn't help much but for the female waiters it was gold.

Though while I am not discrediting her flirtatious ways, it's def. something to keep an eye out when dining out and getting a cute waitress. Some pointers that may help your game, only because I've been there myself...

1.) Def have a phone you at all times, this is a given. But lets say you don't, well don't leave the number exchange to be one-sided where you're the only one receiving a number. I've learned that this is all too common and it's actually more beneficial to make it a fair exchange where you give yours as well. So if you don't have a phone, split a piece of paper and do it the ol' fashion way. This way she is more likely to know who is contacting her (be it call/text) and not let it go to voice mail because she's thinking "who the hell is calling me from this random number?"

2.) Kudos on calling her, I feel it's a lost art of using a phone to (gasp!) call people and hear a voice. Further more, even better you opted to leave a voice mail, it always surprises me how some people don't even bother because it only slims your chances even more by not leaving a message that only requires you to speak for several seconds. However, i would advise possibly doing some text banter first so she knows who is contacting her (in case she did not save your name to the number or received it on a piece of paper). Before calling I always text them a heads up msg indicating that I am going to call by saying "Hey, my hands are full, call you later tonight." Majority of the time, they actually pick up because they now know the phone number associated with me, who it is, and knowing in advance I will be calling.

3.) For a voice mail or text, I never go out of my way to remind them who I was. If I need to remind someone that I was at "X", dressed in "Y", and came in around "Z" then I didn't leave a lasting impression or build comfort. By merely referring back to something we discussed earlier (e.g. callback humor) she should instantly know who it is without even mentioning my name.

For example, I spoke to a girl 2 days ago and at one point in our conversation the topic was geared towards things like combat boots, stalking me, and the college she went to. So I knew that by mentioning these things to her, without ever telling her the who/what/where, she would instantly know who this is. Needless to say, my text went along the lines of...

Me: "Hey top-stalker, saw something right now that totally reminded me of you."

Her: "Oh ya? What was that?"

Me: "This woman walking by had these heavy, black rain boots and poof! There you came. Coincidence?"

And we continued to chat with flirtation and pet names being thrown around. At no point did I mention to her my name, where we met, or who I was. If she didn't remember then I didn't do my "job" of befriending her.

4.) How do you see yourself with text game? I'll admit it's defiantly an area in which I'm continuing to work at but I'm curious to see how you feel you stand at it. I ask because I like how you're quite casual and not making a big deal about talking to her via text but at the same time i can't help but feel it can be pushed even further. Again I'm asking because this may be a matter of experience or personal preference of talking to someone on the phone rather then texting.

But just a heads up, never ever retreat any statements you send out. I noticed you had assumed you gotten a bogus number and even made a unflattering comment towards her trying to work out a bigger tip. Try to keep the frame that whatever it is that you send, is 110% from you and with no regrets.

So, play with some call back humor or give her a pet name. In fact be direct and text her (best after receiving some flirtatious responses) "So you know I'm going to ask you out at some point, right?" And yes, I stand behind such a text because I use it myself and it does two wonderful things for you...

This eliminates you from being in the friend-zone.
Makes your intentions clear while still maintaining a alpha-frame.

So if she comments about working two jobs. Tell her how you were actually considering robbing a bank and was curious to know if she wanted to tag along. Continue to play it out and ask her if she rather be the driver or the shooter? What bandit names you guys should go by so we can make sure the media gets it right? It can go on and on and easily creates callback humor which people love!

5.) Don't worry about the boyfriend and don't apologize. Not because you shouldn't be apologetic in life, but because know you did nothing wrong. You met a lovely woman, got in touch with her, and was curious to know of her marital status. No harm at all, many people have done it before and will continue to do so afterwards.

I also don't want you to let this discourage you in any way and have you believe all women have boyfriends. In fact you'll be surprised to know the most attractive women at times are less likely to have on then the average-looking girl. Why? Because all too often men presume she is already in a relationship and/or don't bother to even approach her because she couldn't possibly be single. Thus I always go in and in my head I don't even phantom the thought of her being with another guy. If she is, she can let me know. If not, then the game continues.

But overall, a solid attempt and some things to reflect and learn from. Thanks for posting the convo and look towards to your future posts regarding texting.

Sounds like she might have been flirting for a better tip and you took it as her being into you.

Her explanation seems genuine. Either way it's probably best just to look forward and move on.

Lots of girls flirt even when they have boyfriend. Some are doing it just because they know they can and like the attention...others do it because they might actually be looking for a hook up. Forget about her and move on.
