I have a little trick I invented and have used a few times with good results, but I'd like to gather some more data, so I'm sharing the trick with you in hopes that you will report back with results if you use it.

This is a bar engagement trick. It has to be done in a mildly trafficked bar. It can't be too busy, or the trick may not work ( although I never tried it in a super busy bar, you'll just see why the mechanics may not work out ).

The Bait Dollar Procedure

1.) Bring a bunch of $1 bills with you to the bar.

2.) Sit at the bar and order your drink. Stealthily drop a dollar a little behind your chair so that it is visible to people walking by.

3.) When people come by, they will naturally pick it up and give it back to you. If it's a dude say thanks. If it's a girl, this is your "omg we have such a funny story about how we met" moment where you act surprised and grateful, as if this was an act of fate, and offer to buy her a beer.

Out of 5 times of doing this, I got laid once. It immediately causes the girl to do you a favor by returning the dollar, and sets up a natural sequence for reciprocity, making the offer to buy her a beer more natural to accept. Guys actually have come up to me and have given me complements after witnessing my moves, said it was hilarious. And girls that I've already tried it on, but didn't really connect with, didn't say anything to the next girl. You do have to watch out to see who's watching though. It's not simple to do it multiple times in the same place. You don't want to be that creep with the bait dollar, so use it sparingly.
