Here's all you need to know about Confidence:

Confidence comes from latin fidere which means "To Trust". Essentially, confidence means to trust yourself enough to go after you want & deal with what comes in the way. Building this form of confidence comes mainly through action, you build your confidence when you do the things that you need to do in order to improve. In the absence of confidence, Courage takes over. Confidence operates in the realm of the known; Courage, on the other hand, operates in the realm of the unknown, the uncertain, and the fearsome: you cannot be a confident swimmer unless you once had the courage to lose your footing in deep water. Embrace pain, embrace failure, because that's the soil upon which your success will be built. Plain and simple.

"Do the thing, and you will have the power." - Ralph Waldo Emerson.

The other side of self-confidence is: Self-love. Accept yourself. Embrace your emotions. Learn how to process them in a healthy way instead of pushing them away.

Love yourself. Repeat the affirmation: "I love myself" a hundred times a day. It will change your life, even if it doesn't feel like it at first, persist and it will come. Once the seed has been planted and properly nourished, it will flourish inside of you and will completely change you into a self-loving person. Love all your flaws and be perfectly imperfect. It will revolutionize your whole life.

These are the two sides of self confidence: Self-love & Courage. Yin & Yang, brother. So self-acceptance on one hand, courage in another. And the synthesis of both: Trusting your gut, trust your instinct, trust your heart, accept your instinct and follow it because that's the deepest form of intelligence you've got. Trust your instinct, found in your body on a visceral level & be brave enough to follow it. That's your intuition, it doesn't need to calculate it, analyze what's going to happen, breathe deep and trust it enough to let go into the spontaneity of your body. Courage will come, confidence will come, they're already there, if you trust yourself already. And it might not be easy at first, but it will be your truth, your message, your purpose & mission in life. This comes from your core, your masculine heart, to go against it would be the death of your soul. That's why you don't take the well-trodden path, the 9-5 job, the trappings of the world. Because..

"It's not about what you get, it's about who you're becoming." -Elliot Hulse.

That is the definitive guide to Authentic Confidence I know, I hope you benefited from it.
